Bowline

This knot is used to make a fixed (non-slip) loop in the end of a line.  BRMRG uses it as the leg-loops for the ASRC seat harness

This knot is typically taught using a "rabbit and a hole" narrative

The "rabbit" comes out of the hole, around the tree...

And back down the hole.   The finished knot.
